au revoir december
it’s that time of the year again where i get pretty emotional, seeking refuge by listening to old songs and wrapping myself up in old books i’ve read zillions of times before. also, again i’m facing that inexplicable phenomena where my wisdom teeth continues it’s never-ending growth process which, honest to god, hurts my gums like hell.

yan’s departure was a big blow to us all but an anticipated one at that, it’s just hard to fathom the separation in the beginning but when it happens, syukur Allah berikan kekuatan for us to endure it. We miss you dearly.
insyaallah, i’m slowly changing to become a better person, and knowing that he’ll go through this with me is all that matters. you have a big heart.

the thing about being home is it usually gets a little sad especially during the last days. my dad will always look more than ever down and starts asking us when our next trip home will be. i noticed though, that this time, it was a little bit different. i was reading with abah in the living room when he asked me,
“next time kakak balik, u’re getting married. kan?”
which in turn startled me.
